Not much ganas...

I am not really feeling like writing a whole lot this week, but I will explain all about Kenia and Jerson. I love them soooo much! They are my favorite everrrr!!!

So last week, Jerson was one of the 2 people that actually went to jail... He was doing tattoos on kids that were under age. So he went to jail for a day, and then left the tattoo business and repented and started with hair cutting instead!!! Yay! God works in mysterious ways!! And after like 4 days of trying to get them to accept marriage, we finally had an opportunity to talk to them together and they were sold!! Really it was Jerson holding them up because he was just kind of scared... But it happens. He was totally down for it though when we were able to talk with them together.

So then the week of the baptism was coming and they are totally awesome!!! We get to Saturday and all the prep goes pretty well. We get them ready and the cake and all, and they got married (precious) and baptized! (even more precious!) and all was well. I took a few wedding pics for them. You would be proud mom ;) hahah But all was super happy. It is so rewarding to see a family joining the fold of Christ!! And helping them to more fully follow Christ and His commandments. It was also really cool because they received the assignments to help in the classes on Sunday. Kenia in the primary and Jerson in the Gospel Principles class. So they already have assignments and everything!!! I love them! And they are so happy!

I love the mission. Nothing more rewarding!

I love my Heavenly Father!!!

Ok so this was honestly like one of the best weeks of my life. Quite possibly the best! We saw some serious miracles, and honestly they are too many to share.

I have some awesome stories about Kenya and Jerson, but I will save them for next week, after their baptism. Just remind me about it next week :) They are awesome and quite possibly my favorite investigators that I have had in my entire mission.

But I had some awesome other miracles too. One of the first ones that I would like to share is that this week we had some fun with chickens. The best part is in the video that I have, that will be in drop box, but enjoy that. We got to lunch on Wednesday and Elder Monson told us about how he knows how to put a chicken to sleep. So all of a sudden, we set out to catch the chickens that our food appointment has. If you have ever tried to catch a chicken, it is not easy! hahaha They are sneaky little guys. So the four of us, Me, Elder Compton, Clark and Monson set out. There were about 7 chickens at first, but through much trial and error, we were down to one more that was just chilling under the house hiding from us! So we got it out by throwing rocks, and very strategically trapped it in the corner, now with two more missionaries to help (Baltimore and Sherle) and we got it!!! In the video you can see how happy and tired we were! hahah and how we put it to sleep too:) Yeah. We did it on two separate occasions. But we still have yet to do it because we want to catch the rooster. Apparently they are a lot harder! hahaha
This is the first day of catching the chicken! :)

 We were triumphant! haha

Ok the other miracle that I want to share. On Saturday we had two people prepared to be baptized! Henry and Wilmer. We had made plans with both of them to meet at the church at 3. As normal, we passed by their houses on the way, but neither were home and the people around didn't know where they had gone, so we hoped that they were all just in the church already. We got there and only Wilmer was there, sooo we got kind of nervous. We felt like there was something more we could do, so we set out looking for Henry at about 3:20. After about five minutes, I really felt like what we were doing was pointless. How were we going to find him, we have no clue where he is at! We are just walking around to be doing something......
So I suggested that we look for some better help, and say a prayer. We sat down right there in the street and offered a prayer. We told God that we were going to go back to the church, and that if it was His will, that Henry would be there in the church waiting for us. As we finished the prayer, I felt good, but at the same time I had my doubts. What if we just looked a little more! We might be able to find him! In the end, we decided that going to the church is what God was directing us to do so we did. As soon as I let go of the doubts and put my trust in the Lord, I felt really good. I just felt really peaceful. As we approached the church about 4 minutes later, we got a call from one of the other missionaries. "Henry is here, he is with me already changing into his white clothes!"
I cried. I really did, right there in the street. It was such an answer to our prayer, and so happy. I love this church, I love God, and Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. I love PRAYER, and I love answers! :)

At the baptism of Henry and Wilmer!

Such a happy moment!

A couple more at the baptism.

Like I mentioned, there are many other stories and awesome things from the week, like that 2 of my investigators got thrown in jail in this same week. That is a good one! :) hahah Anyway. Oh yeah, I also did my first interview for baptism in Miskito!! It went really well too. It included many short phrases and hand motions, but it went well!!! So yeah! I love the mission!!!

I am starting to make myself cook more on the mission. First step is taking after dad, with the traditional omelette.

I also got some french toast going on in there!

Henry at work, making little bags of purified water.

Those things save my life sometimes because they only cost 1 cordoba! :) haha

Cruising the town on some nice new bikes!!

Found a dead man in the caminante on divisions... taught him a quick lesson! :)

A sweet looking parrot that we found. haha It was very aggressive!

This guy was feisty! I was too scared to get close!

He was a very pretty bird... actually she I think, it's name was Rita! :)

The bird had fallen over! :) haha

The tides have turned!!

Sooooo this week I am running at a good 100%!!! But I think my comps email from this week isn't exactly the same. He got Chickengunya this week!! Yeah it wasn't so awesome. It started attacking him hard on Wednesday night and then Thursday morning he was bed ridden, soooo we found some faithful Young men to come and stay with him for the day so that I could go out and work on Thursday.... Luckily he was feeling good enough on Friday to go out and work, so he did! It was a slower paced day, but we got through it. Now he is feeling fine again. He got over it throughout the day on Sunday. He started the day off a bit drained, but when we got some lunch, there was a new found energy and he overcame the sickness! yay!! It was really sad though because he was in a lot of pain. He opened up a package of Ramen, and started eating it raw. I asked if he was gonna cook it, and he said that he was too lazy to cook it..... I found much joy in that statement, because usually people joke that missionaries just eat Ramen for all meals because it is easy. And that day he didn't even have the energy to cook it! ;)
Such a good attempt to a study sesh. I don't blame him though, I know how it felt!

The Ramen! ;)

This week ended up being really awesome though! We have quite a few investigators right now and the awesome part is that literally almost all of them, (except for like 2) have a goal to get baptized on a specific date!! Many people are preparing to enter the fold of God!! It is really exciting.

As I think I had mentioned, we had a baptism planned for this last week. Everything was going good until Satan intervened and put up a huge obstacle. Chester was totally ready and everything and then Friday night he said that he told his mom that he was going to get baptized, and she said that she would kick him out of the house. He is 19 so he could technically decide to do it if he wanted to, but he got really scared that he would not have a place to live anymore! Aghhhh, so we are going to try to talk with his mom, but she really doesn't like us much. She thinks that we are Satan.... so yeah, we will see how that goes.

But all is well here. We had a weird day here on Saturday. I am technically financier still...... I got to help President Collado's secretary all day doing the auditing for all of the branches in the district of Puerto Cabezas. Let me tell you I never want to do that again. That was sooo boring and tedious. But president came as well and did interviews with the zone.

I really enjoyed my interview, because President taught me a very important lesson. Sometimes we have to lose the small battles to be able to win the big one. If there are many problems, and we don't have the power to fix all of them, we need to focus the energy we do have in those battles that are more important, that have the potential to influence greater. I really liked that council. It helped me put it into the perspective of leadership, and how to lead effectively. I love talking with Pres.

Anyway, I believe that is all of the news of the week!!!

Love, Elder Moser
