If a 74 year old man can do it, so can we!

Well this week was super!  And I could share many things, but I really just want to talk about two. One, be careful what you complain about, because with patience, we might have gotten what we wanted. and 2, the subject, if a 74 year old man can do it, so can we.

1) So this week we worked really really hard, not gonna lie, it was really tough, but we found houses of many less actives through the course of the week as we were contacting and looking for new investigators. I was so excited to be able to see how the efforts were going to pay off. I was hoping to see many less actives (and investigators of course) in church this week. Well we normally go to two meetings, one in the morning in Spanish and one in the afternoon in Miskito. But in the first meeting, nobody that we had visited throughout the week had come. I got frustrated and might have even complained just a bit. I was just sad that all the people that we had worked with in the week hadn't even come! Then I ate my words when we left and as we were leaving one of the less actives was coming with her non member husband to church for the first time in one year! So awesome! They showed up at the time of a different meeting, but they came! I ate my words... and then again in the afternoon when a big family of like 12 people that are less active also came. So we saw some cool fruits of reactivation. I had to apologize for not having the patience to wait just a bit longer to see the fruits of my labors. But I sure was grateful for those small fruits. Faith builders!

2) Jose, the 74 year old man we are teaching is still really sick with bad stomach pains and the normal things that accompany that! ;) haha But we got there on Sunday and he wasn't feeling any better, so we worked really hard to pump them up and overcome the obstacle that was presented so that they could continue toward their baptism! After about 5 minutes of talking, he said to his wife, "you know what?, lets go! we need to prepare for our baptism!" So they came!! He threw the obstacle right out of the way and trusted in God, and went to church. They went with us in a taxi on the way there, but then as they were leaving we were going to find a taxi for them, but Jose said that they were just going to walk home. It is like a 20 minute walk home so that was awesome!! I encourage us all to just throw out the obstacles and trust in God!! h
He will strengthen us when we show our devotion to Him! Just as he strengthened Jose to walk home without a problem!!

Love you all tons!! Have a great week!!
